YOSHI 18-E Matcha 20g
YOSHI 18–E is another unusual matcha that doesn't follow the practices of traditional matcha production in Japan. This matcha is made entirely from the cultivar Saemidori grown and produced by a small family tea producer in Uji, Kyoto prefecture.
Spring 2018 was a fantastic harvest, resulting in a very graceful YOSHI 18-E that's extremely smooth with lots of sweet umami and zero bitterness. There's a softness in the mouthfeel we liken to chestnuts.
This is testament to our producer's farming skills who yielded a luscious and delicious matcha that's unblended, and made entirely from one cultivar grown in a small corner of the tea farm. If there's a grand cru of tea, this little patch of Uji would be it.
